Hey guys, I'm Karli!
I've heard a lot about The Body Keeps The Score from peers in support groups and lots therapists so I figured I'd finally give it a read. Honestly I'm excited to be apart of this group. While I'm not looking forward to things from my own past trauma popping up while reading I'm stoked to participate in a discussion on the book itself.
Anywho since this in supposed to be an intro here's a little bit about me.
I'm in my mid-20s. I have a pirate cat. I work between 2-3 jobs plus do volunteer activities and while I'm exhausted a lot I absolutely love it. Most of the volunteer stuff I do involves co-facilitating support groups in my area. Please note I am also NOT a therapist.
Even though I'm an adult I really enjoy watching cartoons. Like not just "adult" cartoons, or anime. I mean full on kids cartoons like Adventure Time and Steven Universe. It's helps me de-stress.
Uh yeah...that's about all I can think of to say about me. If you have any questions feels free to ask.

At this point, I don't even think therapists are real therapists, they are just pretending.
Speaking of, my therapist says we are allowed to like what we like, no apologies. Unless it hurts someone.
